SUMMARY:Night of the Cookers! Andy Gravish and Joe Magnarelli
DESCRIPTION:We welcome back two of this generation's greatest horn blowers\, Andy Gravish and Joe Magnarelli\, as we pay tribute to the spontaneity and majesty of a unique moment in recorded jazz history. \nIn April of 1965 Freddie Hubbard and Lee Morgan\, two of the greatest trumpeters of their generation\, played a gig at Club La Marchal in Brooklyn\, which was recorded and released on two LP's on Blue Note Records as "The Night of the Cookers". It stands out as an example of the pure excitement than can only be generated from live jazz\, played by artists at the peak of their musical abilities. \nAndy and Joe are are the height of their powers\, and this night is sure to thrill all who are fortunate enough to get in the door! \n
