He has performed and recorded extensively throughout the United States and abroad\, earning recognition for his lyrical approach\, expressive touch\, and distinctive artistic voice. \nBorn in Israel\, Taubenhouse began studying piano at the age of six. He graduated from Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts in Tel Aviv and studied classical piano with Assaf Zohar\, Hanna Shalgi\, and Benjamin Oren. In 2009\, he moved to the United States to further his musical education\, studying with Pavlina Dokovska and Jura Margulis. DESCRIPTION:Steve Davis\, trombone\nGreg Wall\, saxophones\nMaki Nientao\, piano\nMatt Dwonszyk\, bass\nJason Tiemann\, drums\nBorn in Worcester\, MA in 1967\, Steve Davis was raised in Binghamton\, NY and graduated in 1989 from  Hartt School’s Jackie McLean Institute. It was with McLean’s guidance and recommendation that Davis landed his first major performance with Art Blakey in NYC. In 98’ Steve winning the TDWR (Rising Star) Trombone Category and later named consecutively as Trombonist of the Year by The JJA – (2010-2013). 
Widely regarded as one of today’s leading voices on the trombone. His lyrical\, hard-swinging style first gained him broad recognition. \nSteve has released 20 albums  in addition to over 100 recordings with names including: Chick Corea\, Freddie Hubbard\, Horace Silver\, Cedar Walton\, Hank Jones. In 2018 his original composition “Optimism” was included in Christian McBride’s Grammy Award winning album “Bringin’ it”. Steve Davis’ latest release with his sextet “Correlations” (label: Smoke Sessions Records) Steve features Joshua Bruneau\, trumpet; Wayne Escoffery\, tenor saxophone; Xavier Davis\, piano; Dezron Douglas\, bass; Johnathan Barber\, drums; and Caro Baptista\, percussion on “Batista Revenge”. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Join us on November 12th as US Army veteran and Jazz master drummer Joe Corsello leads a crack ensemble (including other celebrated  Army veterans)to benefit our own VFW Post 399 and their vital services to veterans.\nAll proceeds from the evening will go toward supporting these programs. \n  \nCornet player Don Hahn  and saxophonist Hank Bolden also served in the  army ( Hank was a member of Operation Teapot and was severely disabled). These American heroes will be joined by Jazz veterans Phil Bowler\, Greg Wall and David Childs. \n Joe Corsello was born and raised in Stamford\, Connecticut. He has made a lifetime commitment to playing drums and continually strives to reach new heights in the drumming world. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston\, Massachusetts under the watchful eye of drum legend Alan Dawson. After leaving Berklee\, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the Army Band\, stationed in Staten Island\, New York. During his time in the Army\, Joe studied with drummer Joe Hunt\, who was living in New York City. After completion of his service obligation\, Joe went on to tour with the Glenn Miller Orchestra\, Benny Goodman before joining Milt Hinton and Hank Jones in the house band at Michael’s Pub\, playing with most of NYC’s cream of the crop before forming the iconic fusion band New York Mary with his friends Bruce Johnstone and Rick Petrone. The band featured Lew Soloff on trumpet\, John Scofield on guitar\, Allan Zavod on keyboards..  The band was heard by Columbia’s John Hammond and quickly signed by Arista Records\, to be produced by the legendary Michael Cuscuna. DESCRIPTION:Amina Figarova was born in Baku\, Azerbaijan\, and as a child studied to be a classical concert pianist. Graduated from the Baku Conservatory as classical concert pianist. In 1990\, she entered Rotterdam Conservatory (where she met Bart Platteau\, a fellow student from Belgium) to pursue jazz\, coming to the United States in 1992 to complete her formal education at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. In 1998 she was invited to the Thelonious Monk Institute’s summer jazz colony in Aspen\, and after more than a decade of bookings in major U.S. jazz clubs\, concert halls and festivals\, the couple gained legal immigrant status in 2013\, and became US citizen in 2020. They currently live in Harlem\, NY and tour constantly.  \n“Among the most important composers to come into jazz in the new millennium” – JazzTime  \nHailing from Azerbaijan\, the New York-based Amina Figarova is an internationally influenced—and recognized—composer\, pianist\, and bandleader. Those three roles come to the forefront in Figarova’s sextets\, bands with a remarkable chemistry that brings her detailed arrangements to life. Every member of the group stands out as a first-rate individual\, but their dedication to Figarova’s eclectic and powerful compositions gives this group its depth of feeling and elite status. The Amina Figarova Sextet has been a hit at major festivals like the Newport Jazz Festival and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival  \nSuite for Africa is Amina’s 18th album\, all with original compositions by Amina. DESCRIPTION:Award-winning guitarist Paul Bollenback developed a taste for the exotic over the course of a three-year period when his family lived in India. He was 11 years old when the family traveled to New Delhi\, and years later the sounds and experiences of that early journey found their way into his first album from Challenge Records\, Original Visions. His next release\, Double Gemini\, continued to stir up a buzz among critics\, and it drew honors as CD of the Month from both WBGO\, a Newark jazz station\, and 20th Century Jazz Magazine. Bollenback remained with Challenge for his next project\, Soul Grooves. \nIn 2011 Paul garnered a Grammy nomination for co-production on Joey DeFrancesco’s Never Can Say Goodbye (Hi Note). His international and national touring schedule currently include appearances with Joey DeFrancesco\, Mike LeDonne\, Jeff "Tain" Watts\, Gary Bartz\, and Shunzo Ohno\, as well as many appearances with his own trio. \n  \n \n  \nGrammy winner pianist David Kikoski emerged in New York jazz scene in 1980s and quickly established himself as a go-to performer working with top players like Roy Haynes\, Joe Henderson\, Ron Carter\, Al Foster\, Bob Berg\, Michael and Randy Brecker\, Chris Potter and many others.
