Yaniv Taubenhouse is an internationally acclaimed jazz pianist and composer based in New York City. He has performed and recorded extensively throughout the United States and abroad, earning recognition for his lyrical approach, expressive touch, and distinctive artistic voice.
Born in Israel, Taubenhouse began studying piano at the age of six. He graduated from Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts in Tel Aviv and studied classical piano with Assaf Zohar, Hanna Shalgi, and Benjamin Oren. In 2009, he moved to the United States to further his musical education, studying with Pavlina Dokovska and Jura Margulis. His artistic development was also shaped through lessons with Richard Goode, Sonia Rubinsky, Brad Mehldau, Joanne Brackeen, and Sam Yahel.
Taubenhouse attended The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music on scholarship, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Performance. Since establishing himself as an active presence on the New York jazz scene, he has continued to perform, record, and tour internationally as a pianist, composer, bandleader, and collaborator.
