Mike Camacho is an in demand drummer in New York City. The South Norwalk native has been playing drums since he was 10 years old, when he began lessons his mentor and local drum teacher John Cutrone. Between John’s guidance and family, who brought him to performances and camps in Norwalk and the greater Fairfield county area, Mike was exposed to some of the great musicians of the world at a young age. After graduating Brien McMahon high school in 2011 he continued his studies at  SUNY Purchase College where he was under the tutelage of world renowned drummers Kenny Washington, and John Riley. Since graduating in 2015 with a BA in jazz performance Mike has performed and recorded with a who’s who of New York’s finest musicians. He has appeared at some of the premier jazz venues of the world, including Dizzy’s, Smalls, Cellar Dog, Mezzrow, Smoke, Ornithology, Jazz Forum, Newport Jazz Festival and has also been featured on WBGO Jazz radio.

TrioNYC is group of New York City based jazz musicians and former classmates that have been working together for over a decade. Professionally they have performed at many of NYC’s top clubs and the members have become in demand sidemen for some of todays most celebrated players.
