Prepare for an unforgettable night of high-octane jazz as Andy Farber and Greg Wall step into the legendary lineage of the music's greatest two-tenor battles. Following the fiery footsteps of historic saxophone duos like Johnny Griffin and Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Al Cohn and Zoot Sims, and Dexter Gordon and Wardell Gray, these two powerhouse horn players will be pushing each other to creative heights, honoring a classic jazz tradition where the only true winner is the audience.

Andy Farber is an award winning Jazz composer, arranger and saxophonist and has spent years performing with the likes of Jon Hendricks and Wynton Marsalis. Since 1994, Farber has been part of the Jazz @ Lincoln Center stable of writers and performers. Through J@LC, Farber has toured with the J@LC Orchestra, written originals compositions and arrangements and been a guest artistic director.  Farber has been teaching Jazz composition and arranging at The Juilliard School and is the music director of the BMI Jazz Composers Workshop. As a leader, Andy and his 17-piece big band (Andy Farber & his Orchestra) enjoyed a 2-year residency at Birdland in NYC, and continues to perform and record.  Outside of the Jazz arena, Farber composes music for TV and film.

Saxophonist Greg Wall, also known as “The Jazz Rabbi,” moved to New York City in 1982 after completing his degree at the famed New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Early studies with Archie Shepp, Frank Foster, and George Coleman put him on track to develop an expansive palette of Jazz expression. Greg honed his craft playing in countless bands, touring with a wide range of avant-garde and traditional projects, and performing at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Village Vanguard, the Blue Note, the Bottom Line, Symphony Space, Roulette, and the King Cole Room at the St. Regis. He eventually found his home in the “Downtown Scene,” a group of improvisers based at NYC’s Knitting Factory that blurred the lines between musical genres and styles. Since starting his long running Thursday night series here in Westport in 2014, he has returned to his classic Jazz roots and performs weekly at Jazz at the Post with some of the brightest stars in the Jazz world.
