Kenny Wessel, known throughout the world for his adventurous solo voice, unrelenting swing, and sensitive accompaniment skills, has become an audience favorite here in Westport. He is best know for  his long relationship with Jazz Master Ornette Coleman, touring internationally and recording as a member of Ornette’s Prime Time band.

Kennny is also very interested in creating and investigating points of intersection between jazz and Indian music and and performed and recorded with the late great tabla master Badal Roy and many other musicians from various parts of the globe. He has performed in 27 countries at major Jazz festivals, concert halls and been in radio and television appearances.  Kenny Wessel is the rare blend of tradition and fiery innovation!
